As a leading San Francisco Sommelier, operator and top hospitality figure Mark has brought his passion for great wine and service to Washington D.C. in order to compliment Chef Essig’s cuisine. Mark honed his skills at some of the top restaurants on the West Coast including Masa’s, Saison, Mourad, and Mosu. He has been an integral part of these restaurants achieving numerous accolades and Michelin stars. Mark has been fortunate to been featured in publications such as: Architectural Digest, Wine & Spirits, and The Wine Spectator. When not taking care of guests Mark continues his exploration and study of wine. His travels continually take him to the most interesting wine regions in the world.
