Shaughn Berry is one of our Front of House Managersat Dauphine’s. Born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, Berry’s mission is to create memorable experiences for every guest that walks through the door at Dauphine’s.
Berry’s career in hospitality began as a server at Daniel O’Connell’s Irish Restaurant and Bar in Old Town Alexandria, where he quickly realized he had found his career match. He later joined The Eat Good Food Group where he held a variety of positions across popular D.C.-area concepts including Restaurant Eve, Bar PBX, and Hummingbird. In this last role at which restaurant, Berry found himself working behind the bar for the very first time, and immediately developed a love of crafting tasty libations.
In April 2022, Berry joined Dauphine’s as a bartender and was quickly promoted to Manager. At Dauphine’s, Berry enjoys working alongside bar director Donato Alvarez to create classic cocktails with high-quality ingredients and experimenting with unfamiliar spirits to develop inspired creations. As a manager, he believes in learning from his talented team and values their input in developing the restaurant’s cocktail offerings. Berry’s favorite part of each day is building relationships with guests. He hopes to keep creating drinks that transport people to the present moment – sipping a delicious cocktail at Dauphine’s.
When he’s not behind the bar, Berry can be found hiking, camping, or playing the drums.
